While I want to commend the work of Interpol Rwanda and the Pharmacy Task Force in the Ministry of Health, who recently seized about 90 kgs of counterfeit and unauthorized drugs in the country, I am slightly worried.

As a client I want to be assured that the drugs I consume are safe and not counterfeited, but the story made me realize that I can’t take the fact that the medicine I buy is genuine, for granted.

So, the question that I ask the authorities concerned is this "how can I tell that one drug is genuine while another is a counterfeit? I neither want to risk my health nor that of my loved ones. I, therefore, request the Ministry of Heath to respond to this concern.
