CAMEROON midfielder Geremi Njitap has signed a two-year deal with Greek Super League side Larissa. The former Newcastle United player, who has also played for Real Madrid and Chelsea, has moved on a free transfer from Turkish side Ankaragucu.
Geremi joins the Gabonese former Hull City striker Daniel Cousin in signing for Larissa - Cousin completed his move five days ago.
Larissa finished eighth in the Greek league last season.
Geremi featured in all three of Cameroon’s matches at the recent World Cup in South Africa.
He was greeted by a crowd of around 500 fans when he arrived in Larissa to complete his move.
"[Geremi] is probably the biggest signing Larissa has made in its history,” the club said in a statement.
