East African Breweries Limited has announced the start of Tusker Project Fame (TPF) Season 4!

In Rwanda, the premiere of the auditions will kick off on Saturday, August 28, at Manor Hotel, Nyarutarama and will be hosted live for TVR viewers and participants to wrestle it out that day. In rest of East Africa, the auditions began on August 21.

TPF, East Africa’s biggest reality TV music show is,  this year predicted to top the three previous seasons. Different music talents walk away with superstar titles, huge cash and record deals with South Africa’s Gallo records.

The competition is open to any East African above 18 years of age, who has the ability to sing, compose and play any musical instrument.

TPF auditions consist of a selecting a number of representatives from different countries who enter the eight-week final competition that is held in Kenya annually.

Graced by one of the most straight forward judges East Africa has, musician, theatre thespian, super vocalist, theatre and music teacher, drama director Judge Ian Mbugua, you can’t afford to miss this season.

Additionally, the reality show will have some of the region’s great hosts and MCs such as former Big Brother Africa title shaker Uganda’s Gaetano Jjuko Kaggwa, and MC Mitch Egwanga.

Last year, Rwanda’s Alpha Rwirangira, 24, bagged Ksh5 million (about Rwf35 million), a one-year deal with South Africa’s Gallo Records company, Premier Plus Medical cover from Resolution Health, one-year subscription to Adam Magazine, a laptop and a one year free internet connection from KDN among the many prizes. 

George Keango, TPFs project coordinator in Rwanda told The New Times that this year will see Sudan as a new entrant.

"We are working in partnership with Rwanda television and City Radio and, we are impressed by the turn up,” Keango said. "We hope this year’ the prizes will return to Rwanda.”
