Editor,
The price hike that I’ve noticed, when using public means, is confusing me. When the Rwanda Utility Regulatory Agency (RURA) decided that we must pay more money because its ‘rush hour’ I ask myself, how could they justify it?
RURA explains that the move is aimed at ensuring that "investors in the transport business extend better services to city dwellers, especially during rush hour, by investing more in the industry”.
But the question that I have is, "what assurance does RURA have that the investors will invest more money”? I think that this move is debatable and I would like a bit more clarification from all the people involved.
