RWAMAGANA — District mayor, Valens Ntezirembo has called on all development partners to work together to uplift the district.

He was recently speaking at a meeting meant to lay strategies on how to implement the 2008 performance contracts, at the district hall. Heads of departments, Sector executive secretaries and district development partners attended the meeting.

Ntezirembo asked participants to lay strategies that will enable them to achieve their targets. "I would wish to promise you my personal support in all your endeavors for the realization of the district’s development. I will not only be like a supervisor but as part of you. Let us cooperate to develop our district," Ntezirembo said.

He observed that the achievements of a single department or sector, earns the district and whole province pride.

Protais Mureire, the district executive secretary who chaired the meeting, suggested that ant-crime clubs be set up in the district to deal with elements that are anti-developmental. He also asked members to identify old government premises in the area so that the district can refurbish them.
