SILVERBACKS coach Gerald Nsenga has named a 12-man squad for the fourth edition of the Prinsloo Sevens that will take place at Nakuru Athletics Club from August 28-29.
Nsenga told Times Sport that with the exception of Grizzlies winger Cyambara Koko, he will stick with the same squad that took part in the Safaricom 7s early this year.
"Apart from Cyambara who is held up by a busy work schedule, I will pretty much stick to the same team that featured in the Safaricom 7s,” Nsenga said.
Clement Nzungu has now been drafted in for Cyambara.
Silverbacks had a torrid run in the Safaricom 7s after losing all their matches; Ponsonby (0-31), Hamilton raiders (5-45), Uganda (0-26) and Argentina (0-38).
But Nsenga believes the team gained a lot of experience playing top notch sides like Australian club-Hamilton raiders and Argentina.
"We were only drafted into the Safaricom 7s at the last minute so we did prepare well but we have enough time to prepare for the Prinsloo 7s,” Nsenga said.
