Recently, Rwandan- UK based beauty, Happiness Hayton Kabatesi, put Rwanda on the international chart, when she made it to the final five during the Miss East Africa/UK pageant. 

The beauty pageant was held on July 3, 2010 at Central Hall Westminster, London.

Kabatesi, 22, has made a name for herself, yes, because of her terrific creativity, confidence and ability to do things professionally.

She is an undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Networking. Kabatesi is also a choreographer in ‘Passionate Warriors’, a Rwandan cultural dance troupe. Additionally, she is a model with Dynamic Models.

The Miss East Africa/UK is an annual event, aiming at helping young East Africans based in the UK to become successful in their ambitions by supporting them to start businesses.

Beauty contestants were from Burundi, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Sudan, Eritrea, Somalia, Somaliland and Djibouti.
