Clarification on the story "BRD approves over Rwf55million in credit in first half”

Yesterday Thursday (August 19, 2010) issue No. 2199 we erroneously reported that The Rwanda Development Bank (BRD) has issued credit over Rfw.55Million in the first half YET the accurate figure is Rwf15.3 billion.

We have also learnt that government owns only 38.8 percent shares and NOT over 60 percent. The Bank also says the Rwf4 billion is available in loans for export promotional funds including coffee and not only for coffee.

We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.
