Editor,
I am an ardent reader of The New Times. I would like my favorite newspaper to help me understand some of the issues involved with the construction/rehabilitation of the Kacyiru road: Which company is carrying out the work? Has this company done similar work elsewhere?
Was it successful? Who is monitoring the work being done? Whom is he/she reporting to? Who has to certify that the work is well done and who can voice the concerns of people who are suffering?
Why am I asking those questions? These people started rehabilitating the road "Kacyiru - Yamaha” a long time ago.
They close the road as they wish, sometimes without reason, and despite the fact that they haven’t finished that road they’ve already moved on.
Now they have destroying the road from KBC to the Ministries before having completed or even started work on the Ministries-KBC route. Both sides of the highway are now not usable.
In my opinion, the best alternative would have been to complete one side of the road before embarking on the other side.
