After guiding them to the 2009/10 MTN Peace Cup final where they lost to APR 1-0, Rayon Sports have offered Emmanuel Ruremesha a two-year contract, the club’s Secretary General, Olivier Gakwaya has confirmed.

The 37-year-old joined the Blues from rivals Atraco towards the end of last season on a three month contract, and according to Gakwaya, he has done enough to stake his claim on the job permanently.

In addition to reaching the MTN Peace Cup final, the former Kibuye Fc coach guided Rwanda’s most supported club to third place finish in the Primus National League.

"We believe he did well last season especially since he joined towards the end of the season when things were not going our way.

"We reached an agreement that he guides the team through the ongoing pre-season Primus Cup tournament while we iron out the details of his contract, which he will sign before the season starts,” Gakwaya told Times Sport yesterday.

Meanwhile, Gakwaya revealed that the club is looking for Frw 50m for new players ahead of the start of the 2010/11 season kicks off next month.

"The club needs Frw50 millions for new signings and since we don’t have specific financiers, we intend to get that money from our fans,” he said.

The Blues have not won any silverware since 2005, something that their fans are desperate to see changing.
