Editor,
This letter is in reference to your article entitled " Mitali Calls for youth empowerment". In your article you highlighted what the Honorable Minister of Youth , Protais Mitali , expressed at the launch of the 2010 " UN International Year of Youth - Dialogue and Mutual Understanding ".
The Minister called for youth empowerment and suggested that they be given opportunities to participate as respected partners in decision making and action at all levels. They should be given the opportunity to share their ideas and express their opinions.
The Rwanda Renaissance, in keeping with the Minister’s objectives, has already invited Ms. Dianah Mukundwa , an outstanding student of the School of Finance and Banking , Kigali to participate at the 5th International Banking and Finance Conference scheduled to be held at Mumbai in November 2010.The organisation will arrange to host her entire stay in India and also take care of the registration for the Conference.
While in India several interactive meetings will be held to enable Dianah Mukundwa to share her thoughts, ideas and experiences with audiences here . With initiatives such as these we hope to contribute to the growth and development of the new Rwanda.
