Faustin Vuningoma is the Executive Secretary of the umbrella organization of local Non-Governmental Organizations in Development (CCOAIB). Below he shares with us his typical day:

I wake-up at 5a.m, take a bath and have breakfast. By 7a.m, I am in the office. I check both private and official mails. I respond to what I believe to be urgent. I then find out if there are files to react to on my desk. If not, I switch on to my daily duties.

My work involves attending to meetings with various member NGOs and other institutions, making appointments on specific measures to give proper direction to our work and attending to other people in need of information related to our projects, among others.

I have lunch depending on the task I have, but most times at 12:30p.m. After 6p.m, I get to the School of Finance and Banking (SFB) where I am doing my Masters degree.

At about 9:30p.m, I get home. I spend sometime discussing with my children especially when they are in holidays. It is also the time I listen to local and international news. I tune in to CNN, BBC for international news and the national radio for the local news.

I have supper at around 10p.m and say a prayer before I head to bed, normally at 10:30p.m.
