Hakim Sahabo was outstanding for Lille U19 despite their 1-0 defeat to Lens U19

It was a fair weekend for Rwandan players abroad as the likes of Hakim Sahabo continued to churn out great performances for Lille despite club’s defeat in Ligue 1 U9s as defender Emmanuel Imanishimwe was left out of AS FAR Rabat’s squad for the first time this season after the team decided to rest him.

Times Sport brings you a wrap up of how Rwandan players plying their trade abroad fared over the weekend.

France

Hakim Sahabo was superb for Lille U19 despite the club's 1-0 defeat to Lens U19 while right-back Warren Kamanzi was an unused substitute for a Toulouse side that drew 1-1 with Brest.

Irvyn Lomami was in action for the second team of Olympique Lyonnais in their goalless draw with Canet Roussillon in the CFA League.

England

In the Premier League 2, winger Noam Emeran was replaced by Mejia Matteo in the 57th minute as Manchester United U21 beat archrivals Liverpool U21 2-1.

George Lewis Ishimwe was not in the Arsenal U21 team that beat Leicester City 2-1.

Belgium

Central midfielder Samuel Gueulette was introduced in the second half as Raal La Louviere were defeated 2-1 by Patro Eisden in the Belgian third tier league.

Defensive midfielder Djihad Bizimana is still with the KMSK Deinze team B and was not involved in the senior side’s 3-2 win over Beerschot

Cyprus

Striker Kevin Monnet-Paquet was not in the match day squad of Aris Limassol who lost 4-3 to AEK Larnaca in a seven-goal thriller. The striker was pictured at the club stadium with Amavubi head coach Carlos Alos Ferrer who is pushing to lure him to play for Rwanda in the ‘not too distant’ future.

Amavubi U23 defender Dylan Georges Maes was not in action last weekend as his side Aris Oroklini's relegation play-off game with Ermis was postponed.

Morocco

Left-back Emmanuel Imanishimwe was an unused substitute as AS FAR Rabat beat OC Khouribga 2-0 to go second on the Moroccan top flight league table with 25 points, level on points with league leaders FUS Rabat.

The former Rayon Sorts and APR FC defender watched the entire match from the bench after the club rested him for the first time this season.
