Editor,
I want to tell those evil doers who are trying to kill innocent Rwandans that they will fail in their aims of destabilizing us. We are a resilient people; who else but Rwandans could have made so much progress after a Genocide that killed a million people and left the nation reeling?
Now terrorists are trying to scare us using measly grenades. I am not afraid and I’m sure that the citizens of Kigali aren’t either.
We are still using public transport and we are going about our business as usual. These people think that this attack will somehow make Rwanda seem insecure but they missed that train a long time ago. Kigali is known as an oasis of calm, and despite these criminals best efforts, tourists and investors keep flocking.
I trust that security officials are hot on the heels of these criminals and we shall have quick prosecutions. Until that day, I say to them "do your worst, I’m not going to change a single thing you cowards”.
