Feed your children first before feeding others

Rwanda’s gift to the nations is not bad and I am so sure this will improve our image as a country but I want to put it in the greatest teacher’s way; that you cannot feed other people’s children when your own are still only half-fed I am watching my language even as I write and so no need for any one to point fingers at me because I am only speaking out my heart.

The ICT regional scholarship scheme is not a bad idea at all but the point that I want to put across is that before you spend scarce funds on the neighbours family, be sure that yours is well taken care of.

However good hearted we are, we ourselves are still lagging behind in the areas of ICT, we do not have enough trained man power in the area of ICT that this country needs.

With the little that we have in terms of funds let us focus on our very own and who know may be we will be able to help others in the near future. Let us put our house in order before we go on to look out for what to do in another man’s house.

To those of you across the borders that are eyeing Rwanda’s gift to the nation, I know my views may not go well with you but put yourself in the shoes of a Rwandan boy or girl that has for long desired to take an ICT course and they cannot just because they missed a point in school.

My humble request to our government is that carter for us first before you take it to other nations.
