Technical school teachers from several parts of the country have received special training in entrepreneurship, wood work and joinery and effective teaching methods in a two-week training programme.

The training was organized by Technical and Vocational Schools Association (TVESA/ADET) in Rwanda with development partners that included GTZ, DED and S.O.S.
                                                                                                        Upon completion of the training that started on July 26, all participants were awarded certificates of merit.

TVESA is a voluntary entity that brings together technical schools in the country with an aim of contributing to the development of relevant and competitive human resource through the provision of reliable, quality driven technical and vocational education.

According to Jean Gaga, the chairman of TVESA, this training is organized at least three times a year and it aims at improving the teaching standards of technical school teachers.

"These skills are key to human resource development in Rwanda as a tool to fight poverty,” he said.
