Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) has widely publicized an event it has organized to auction goods that have been laying in their warehouses for long.

According to RRA, the owners of the goods have either failed to pay the required taxes, despite a grace period, or were smuggling them in when the revenue body intercepted them.

I have no doubt the losses incurred by the owners will serve as a lesson to them and many others that paying taxes is not something they should take for granted.
