KARONGI – Vulnerable secondary school students, including HIV-related orphans and those living with the virus, were yesterday challenged to be innovative and to work hard for a better future.

The call was made by Father Donatien Twizerumuremyi, the programme Coordinator at Caritas Rwanda, at the opening of a five-day solidarity camp (Ingando) of 580 students from Karongi and Nyamasheke districts.

Father Twizerumuremyi said the event is aimed at equipping students with life skills. "Helping students with scholastic materials and other essential necessities is good, but not enough. These children need skills that will help them lead a good life,” Twizerumuremyi said.
