Rwanda’s beauty queen, Grace Bahati, is reportedly organising an election concert, slated to take place on August 5, at Petite Stade, Remera.

"As Miss Rwanda and a youth, it’s my responsibility to participate in activities which contribute to the country’s development,” Bahati told The New Times.

She, however, explained that the concert is aimed at "encouraging the youth to participate in the August 9, presidential polls, but not to campaign for any particular candidate.”

The concert will feature a list of renowned artists, including Princess Pricilla, Riderman, K8, Tom Close and Aline Gahongaire. entrance is free.

Bahati, 19, a senior six student at Lycée de Kigali was crowned Miss Rwanda on December 18, 2009, becoming the first Miss Rwanda after 18 years.
