I read in The New Times of Monday, August 2, that plans are in their advanced stages to lease the Kivu Methane Gas plant. Through this initiative, power generation is expected to rise from 1.8 to 50 megawatts.

I have been living in this country for more than 10 years, and today, I hardly experience any outages. Power only goes off when there is a technical fault. Now that there is going to be more power generation, there is no doubt that more homes and businesses will get powered, thus improving the people’s standard s of living.

And, Rwanda can also start exporting electricity to other countries. It is such initiatives that show Rwanda is on an amazing journey to development and prosperity.
