MUHANGA- Prime Minister, Bernard Makuza, yesterday, said that voting Paul Kagame for president in the August 9, polls is a way of ensuring continued development and the socio-economic transformation of the country.

The Prime Minister was addressing an audience over 10,000 at an RPF rally in Nyabinoni sector in Muhanga district, yesterday.

"Kagame has passed the test of a credible leader and has shown potential to lead the country towards the vision desired by Rwandans, and can do more if re-elected,” Makuza said.

He hailed Kagame for having implemented various developmental programmes, saying that the current progress should be the basis for Rwandans to choose Kagame as their president.

"Choosing Kagame is choosing development. He (Kagame) is able and has proven that he has the potential. His achievements are visible and recognized, not only in Rwanda, but in the region and internationally,” he said.

Makuza went on to laud Kagame’s leadership for enabling Rwandans to gain self respect, sovereignty, and dignity.

"Kagame loves his country and the people. He would love to ensure that the residents have peace, harmony and a better lifestyle,” he said, urging the crowd to collaborate in transforming the country.

On their part, the residents hailed Kagame for providing better education, health care and modern agriculture among other rural development programmes.

There is a lot to praise of Kagame for, but most of all is the gift of free education that will give our children a bright future” said Claudine Mukakimenyi.

Nyabinoni residents asked Kagame to provide a bridge, roads, hospitals and buses once re-elected. The Premier assured the residents that all is possible since there is a strong will to succeed among the Rwandan people today.
