AIESEC Rwanda to focus on youth development

KIGALI - THE Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques, Commerciales (AIESEC) Rwanda, a global youth exchange organization, has vowed to focus on helping young people develop and discover their potential as future leaders of tomorrow, as a way of having a positive impact on society.

This was disclosed, Friday, in a meeting aimed at sharing with the stakeholders AIESEC’s activities and vision.

According to the President and Country Director of AIESEC Rwanda, Patrick Kamulindwa, the organisation provides a chance for young individuals to face the new challenges in confronting the world.

"Our main focus is to provide a platform to young university students by involving them in working abroad, acquiring networks, leadership experience, conferences, and supported self-discovery,” Kamulindwa said.

"Participating in the internship program allows our members to gain an unmatched professional work and cultural experience, further contributing to their personal and professional development.”

Kamulindwa added that AIESEC provides exchange internship programmes to talented youth so that they can go work in other countries and gain international leadership experience.

Apollo Munanura, the Division Manager-Skills Development, Human Capital and Institutional Development at RDB, commended AIESEC for its good vision saying that it is vital for the young people to develop themselves into leaders that have the skills, networks and perspectives necessary to drive positive change in the world.
