NATIONAL basketball league champions APR are looking to carry on from where they left off last weekend when they take on Rusizi this afternoon and National University of Rwanda (NUR) tomorrow.

The Indomitable lions, who raked in 14 points to finish a point behind surprise package Kigali Basketball Club (KBC) in the first round, regained top spot last Sunday after beating UGB 72-51 and the team’s head coach Cliff Owour reckons that they have to win all their remaining games.

"We have a couple of injuries in the side but we shall fight till the very end if we have to. We have been on top for the past three seasons and we have no intentions of letting that go,” the former Kenyan international stated.

KBC have two games on cards; a tricky test against Espoir today before entertaining Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) who had to thank NUR for their only win in the first round.
In the women fray, G.S Karubanda face NUR before taking on defending champions APR at Nyarugenge courts tomorrow.
