Editor,
In yesterdays The New Times I was heartened to read that local leaders in Rwamagana District had raised concerns about the rising number of people involved in illegal mining activities in Musha and Mwurile sites.
These mining concessions are owned by investors and their investment must be protected. It makes little sense to invite investors if we can’t protect their investment from thieves. I urge the local authorities to do all they can to make sure that we remain an ‘investor-friendly’ destination.
