I urge the national media regulatory body, the Media High Council (MHC), to crack down on all outlets that aren’t registered properly. What makes these outlets more special than the 19 electronic media (TV and Radio) and 22 newspapers which undertook all the formalities?

I think that these outlets that have chosen not to register properly have something to hide. Or maybe these ‘illegal’ outlets are simply briefcase companies which actually don’t have offices or staff.

This is a nation of laws and no one is above them; not even journalists. If they don’t follow procedure, I am of the view that the MHC should show its teeth and declare the unregistered media outlets ‘null and void’.
