I totally agree with the Foreign affairs Minister Louise Mushikiwabo when she says that Rwanda will take the issue of abuse of international law to higher levels like the United Nations (UN) and the European Union (EU) for further discussions.

The fact of the matter is that the entire international law regime is something that should be revised. More especially when one realises that this regime was put in place with barely any ‘Third-World’ input.

Now that we are asserting our rights in so many different ways, I believe it is time for an overhaul of the international law system. Why is it that some countries have more rights than others?

How can some misguided politicians, pretending to be judges, decide to indict people from another country?

The entire façade is merely in place to keep the international status quo where some countries forever lord it over other nations. We won’t accept it any longer, and I’m proud that Rwanda is leading this revolution.
