Countries participating in the on going Pan-African Dance Festival (Fespad), on Sunday, held an exhibition at Laico Umubano, showcasing their art pieces and  dance performances to mark the acclaimed dance festival.

Among other countries represented include Angola, Burundi, China, Namibia, Egypt and Madagascar.

Joseph Jeje Mugisha, the Fespad’s Artistic Director at Rwanda Development Board (RDB) said the event was aimed at giving not only the public but also participants the real meaning of Fespad.

"It is also about learning from each other through our cultures and art work,” Mugisha said.

Ibrahim Kabuya, the Head of the delegation from the Democratic Republic of Congo said the event is a unifying factor, since it brings people of different countries and culture together.

"In Congo we have different tribes, but the culture brings us together to meet others, teach and learn from them,” Kabuya said.
