MUSANZE and Marines football clubs have a big chance of staying in the Lucrative Primus league according to the national football federation (Ferwafa) Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa.

Both clubs are meant to have been relegated after finishing 11th and 12th respectively last season but the untimely departure of former giants Atraco and minnows Electrogaz from the league due to bankruptcy may see the two clubs staying in the top flight league.

Kalisa told Times Sport yesterday that the final decision lies with the General Assembly which will sit towards the end of August but said that there is a big chance of the relegated teams surviving the drop.

"I think the biggest question that will be discussed is clubs’ finances. We want to get to the bottom of this problem,” Kalisa said.

"We will also evaluate all top flight clubs.”
Atraco had become one of the strongest clubs in the region been after winning the league, MTN Peace Cup and Cecafa Kagame Cup in a period of three years.
