Editor,
Please allow me to bring this serious matter to the attention of Kigali Institute of Education senior management.
The matter in question is the growing ‘culture’ among lecturers, who are tarnishing the good name of the institution by engaging in unprofessional and unethical conduct, of trading marks for either sex or money.
These lecturers have turned the Institute into a sex industry. This has been going on for the last three years but it seems the administration has not been aware.
This has affected the performance of students who genuinely toil under hard conditions to complete their studies but who know that that their colleagues get rewarded not for their academic toil but for sex or money.
We, therefore, call on the concerned authorities to investigate and take appropriate action before the situation goes out of hand and causes the prestigious institution to go to the dogs.
