Synopsis: Martial arts isn’t a about violence and personal glory. Rather it is a sport, a way of building and strengthening friendships, and building your inner strength.

It is a tool, rather than a weapon ... "Fearless” is a story of a  Chinese martial arts master Huo Yuanjia (1869-1910), tracing his path from childhood, where after witnessing his father lose in a martial arts challenge, he vows to become the greatest martial artist in Tianjin. Indeed he does become the greatest, but at great cost; it is only after suffering great loss that he understands his true purpose; martial arts is not for the self, but for helping those around you.

Verdict: Fearless is a masterfully choreographed, artistically filmed movie with great fight scenes, and a relevant story line. Like all Jet Li’s movies, the martial arts is faultless, and this movie is a true tribute to Jet Li’s 25 years of martial arts glory. The lesson it teaches makes it an excellent watch for even those that aren’t into martial arts movies.
