APR midfielder Keddy Nsanzimfura has joined relegation-threatened Marine in a loan deal that will keep him at the club for the remainder of the season.
The former Kiyovu player has not played for APR since October 2022 when the club slapped him to a four-month suspension from the first team due to gross misconduct.
He was sent to train with the club's reserves at Intare FC until the club decided to loan him to Marine alongside Thaiba Mbonyumwami, Jean de Dieu Hirwa and Fabio Nkundimana who were all struggling for playing time in the first team.
Marine had a poor start to the season where they finished the first round of Rwanda premier League sitting 15th with seven points. The club registered only one victory in 15 league matches where they beat arch rivals Etincelles 3-0 and four draws with Rutsiro FC, Police FC, Gorilla FC and Sunrise FC.
The Rubavu-based side has been looking to reinforce the squad before the second round of the league kicks off on January 20 in an attempt to avoid relegation.
With the quartet’s services, not only does the club hope to bounce back and have an impressive run during the remainder of the season but players will also be looking to raise their performance and play top football again.
Yves Rwasamanzi’s side has had poor defense so far this season where they conceded 27 goals and scored 13 goals and the addition of Hirwa could bring stability back in defense ahead of the second round of the league campaign.
