Just as Rwanda has ‘Hillywood’, we in India have "Bollywood” which has grown to become a multi-million dollar business. Rwanda has some exotic locations which would be ideal for Bollywood movies. Countries from all corners of the world have effectively taken the "Bollywood” route to boost their inbound tourism and we would be very happy to assist Rwanda Tourism to tap into this lucrative market.
Bollywood would offer Rwanda a two fold advantage: Firstly, shooting an Indian movie in the country would give enormous exposure not only in India, but also across several countries where non -resident Indians work and live. Secondly, the destination would become much sought after, since the Indian film stars would have actually shot a movie in this beautiful country.
We wish Eric Kabera , CEO of RCC , every success with the Rwanda Film Festival and look forward to the day when Bollywood becomes an integral part of the Rwanda Film Industry.
A Bollywood fan
