With construction works taking place on various Kigali City roads, I would like to urge Radio stations to constantly update drivers on the traffic situation. On various occasions I have had to spend hours stuck in traffic along the Rugunga road.

If the public is informed whenever the road is clogged, drivers can either look up alternative routes or adjust their schedules. So much valuable time is wasted in traffic jams.

Most cars have radios and research has proved that radios are listened to most when in cars. This initiative will not only give the public constant updates, but will also attract more listeners to the stations that do it. If the developed countries do it, why can’t we?
