City Radio, a local broadcasting company, on Friday awarded the winners of the ‘Predict& Win’ competition, “In each FIFA World Cup soccer match, listeners were asked to predict the country that would win, as it was the entry point for the competitions,” Remmy Lubega, the Creative and Marketing Manager of the radio said.

Lubega noted that their major intention for initiating such a competition was to bring the World Cup closer to the people, especially those who did not have televisions in their homes.
"It was also another way of paying back to our esteemed listeners.”
Prizes included air tickets to South Africa, MTN airtime cards, T-shirts, Vuvuzelas, Nakumatt vouchers, TVs, decoders and the grand prize, which was a branded new motorcycle.
Isaiah Sinamenye, 21, a resident of Kacyiru, was announced the overall best winner of the competition. He walked home with a motorcycle and MTN airtime cards worth Rwf 50,000.
"I’m speechless!,” an excited Sinamenye stated.
"I joined the competition expecting to win a Vuvuzela, thanks to City Radio for their initiative.”
Other winners included, Yassin Rurangwa, 35, a taxi driver who won a return air ticket to South Africa, while Francoise Musabyimana, 36, bagged a flat television screen and a decoder.
However, Rurangwa said he was not very excited about the prize, because his efforts to attend the World Cup finals in South Africa were not achieved.
"I joined the competition because I wanted to go to the finals,” Rurangwa said.
