Patrick Kanyamibwa is the Media and Communication Officer at Moriah Entertainment Group. He is charged with the responsibility of managing and promoting local musicians. He is also a gospel journalist attached to various institutions in need of gospel information.
Below is his typical working day;

I wake up at 5a.m and tune in to Voice of Africa radio station for the news and other morning programmes. By 6:30, I have finished with everything at home and heading to my work place in Kacyiru.

At 8a.m, I check on various websites for local, international and gospel information. I then find out if there is work which I never managed to complete before I switch on the day’s programme.

My usual work comprises checking what is new in the music industry. This is especially with artistes we manage and promote then giving such developments to sources that promote these musicians.

I have lunch between 1 and 2 p.m. In the afternoon, I concentrate on writing articles and reports about the day’s work and future plans.

Although not always, at around 5p.m I join my friends to at least discuss about certain genuine issues concerning our work. I am home at 6 to spend time with my wife and children.

I listen to the evening news and programmes on various radio stations but sometimes watch a movie or even listen to music.

I have supper at 8, say a short prayer with my family then get to bed latest at 10p.m.
