MUHANGA-Members of the Private Sector Federation (PSF) in the southern province have been encouraged to improve the quality of services and products so as to compete effectively in the regional markets

The call was made by the State minister for Primary and Secondary education, Dr. Mathias Harebamungu, on Wednesday, at the closure of the PSF Mini exhibition held at Gitarama stadium.

"Rwandans should work harder and shouldn’t be set back by anything, so to maintain the current growth and development” Harebamungu said.

The eight-day long exposition attracted a big participation of residents, PSF members from Kamonyi, Ruhango, Muhanga and Ngororero and Kenyan exhibitors among others.

Harebamungu also used the opportunity to encourage residents to participate fully and vote wisely in the forthcoming presidential elections.

The Kenyan participants said that the Rwanda experience has been a learning experience and will be Rwanda’s ambassadors to the East African Community.

"We shall tell our countrymen of this lovely experience. We are excited about coming back to Rwanda and will ask more Kenyans to join us forthcoming in the Kigali exposition, in August” a Kenyan exposant, Suzan Wahinya said. 

PSF Officials said that the exposition was a success and that the sector has grown over the years due to such events exposing the services and products of many entrepreneurs.

All the districts walked away with trophies and various businesses were also rewarded for their outstanding exhibition style, providing customer care services among others.

Local radio and TV comedian, Jolie Kanyantore alias ‘Kanyombya’ made a debut entertainment and thrilled residents and leaders with his antics and fun during the week long.
