Niyo Bosco, one of the best musicians and lyricists in Rwanda, has signed a record deal with new record label, Sunday Entertainment.
The development was confirmed by Sunday Justin, founder of the new record label, this Monday in an exclusive interview with The New Times.
"Yes it’s true! We have signed Niyo Bosco to Sunday Entertainment and we will soon announce more details about the contract,” said Sunday, founder and CEO of the record label.
Niyo Bosco was a member of Irene Murindahabi’s MIE until October 28, 2022, when he terminated his contract with the music house after different reports indicated that his manager was fraudulently taking advantage of his talent by not paying him 30 per cent revenue of his YouTube income, among other causes.

Murindahabi who is also a local journalist managed Niyo since he launched his music career in 2020 alongside young music duo Vestine and Dorcas.
Niyo joins Sunday Ent after rumors circulated that he had started making music under Kikac Music label which also manages one of the best female upcoming artistes in Rwanda, Bwiza.
Niyo remains one of the best vocalists and lyricists in the history of the Rwandan music industry who is behind hit songs like ‘Urugi’, ‘Seka’, ‘Ishyano’ among many others.
He rose to fame after the release of his first track, Ubigenza Ute’ which got him signed under MIE until he parted ways with the music house on October 28, 2022.
