National team head coach Sellas Tetteh is confident his youthful side will deliver in next week’s Africa Youth Championship qualifier against Congo Brazzaville which will be played in Point Noir on July 24.

"I am quite confident with these boys, they are promising a bright future. They are very determined and I hope they will put on a good performance.

"We have not been able to engage them in build-ups to assess their level but their confidence, determination and zeal to go forward is very important in our quest to win the away match,” said Tetteh.

The Junior Wasps will depart for Congo Brazzaville on Wednesday morning ahead of their scheduled match on Saturday.

If the junior wasps win the two-legged qualifier, they will proceed to the final qualifying match where they are expected to meet the winner between Cameroon and Central Africa in September.

Meanwhile, the U-20 will face their junior counterparts of the U-17 this Sunday (tomorrow) in a friendly match at the Ferwafa play ground.
