Synopsis: A thrilling 2 and a half hours of war, clever plots and drama twists, it is a daring rewriting of one of the most painful chapters in history. In German-occupied France, a young girl named Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa. Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema. Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution and terrorism against the invading German troops and establishments.
This group of blood thirsty Jewish soldiers, known to their enemy as "The Basterds,” joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is set to carry out a revenge plan of her own.
Verdict: You haven’t seen war until you see it through the eyes of Tarantino; this is a classic Tarantino pick, blending several genres to create a thick-plotted movie that is violent, unrestrained, and thoroughly entertaining. The script is paid special attention, like in all Tarantino movies. The scenery is good, and there is great continuity that makes for a riveting watch.
