Before we do things that could have adverse effects on us, we should first think more than twice. Let’s take this example of a callous father in Gitoke sector.

A 17- year old girl last week committed suicide early in the morning, moments after being rebuked by her father.

The deceased, a school dropout, drank animal drugs after allegedly quarrelling with her father. The father is said to have fumed after learning that the deceased had buried her elder sister’s clothes in a ditch in the home compound.

My fellow parents, do you think that even if the child had buried her father’s own clothes, she deserved the effects of her father’s careless treatment?

I don’t mean that the girl did right but all I am saying is that since we are older, are the leaders of the young we should find better ways of expressing our anger because at the end of the day it is us to blame not the children.
