I was joyous when I read in your publication that the Foreign Minister Louis Mushikiwabo told the Senate that the government is not only cultivating diplomatic ties with West African countries but will also open an embassy in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, a move that will yield economic gains.
As the Rwandan-UAE Diaspora we are asking ourselves, is the Embassy going to open before the upcoming election or after the elections? We are more than 200 people working and living in the UAE and we need to know this in advance because we wish to register for and participate in the upcoming elections even if we are away from home.
