The Rwanda Handball Federation (Ferwahand) Secretary General Pascal Tuyisenge has said that everything is in order to ensure that the upcoming U-20 African Men’s Handball Championship becomes a successful one.
The tournament kicks off at BK Arena on Saturday August 20 through August 27.
"I think everything is ready. Our team is ready and the majority of the teams expected to participate in the competition will arrive today and we hope that the rest will be on Friday. We will witness an entertaining and successful tournament,” Tuyisenge said.
The participating teams have been grouped in two pools.
Hosts Rwanda are placed in Group A alongside Tunisia, Morocco, Angola and the Central African Republic, whereas Group B consists of Egypt, Algeria, Congo Brazzaville and Libya.
The group stage will run from August 20 to 24, after which the best two teams in each group will advance to the knockouts; semi-finals and the final.
