As a fan of all things Japanese, from the martial arts to the cuisine, I am tickled pink by the opening of the Japanese embassy in Rwanda.

Having an embassy in a country is proof that that country is on the international radar. And I guess Japan has realized that it wants to be a part of the Rwandan renaissance.

And who wouldn’t? Now all I wish is that among the hundreds of Japanese tourists who visit our land, one of them stays here and opens a proper sushi bar which serves sake as well.

That is something we are missing here, good oriental food.
