The Rwandan Embassy in Berlin, Germany, on Saturday, participated in the All Nations Festival, an annual event in which embassies open their doors to the public and showcase what their countries have to offer in terms of attraction and culture.

The event, which took place for the 10th time, is organised by the association for international meeting/gathering in Berlin (BGiB) and the idea is to give the public a "trip around the world” without leaving Berlin.

The Rwandan Embassy, for the first time, participated in the event and like other embassies in Berlin, opened its doors for the public from 11 to 6 pm.

"We had more than 800 visitors, who wanted to know about Rwanda: safety, tourism highlights, how to arrive there, how people are living,” Rwanda’s Ambassador to Germany, Christine Nkulikiyinka said in a statement

"We showed a film on Rwanda (landscape and culture) and provided information, offered some Rwandan finger foods, drinks, and some brochures on our country. People appreciated having the opportunity to visit the embassy and get first-hand information.”

Among the 28 participating countries, 7 were African: Rwanda, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique and Namibia.
