KAYONZA Inter-denominational Christian Fellowship forum has donated 20 houses to underprivileged people in Kayonza who formerly lived in grass thatched houses (Nyakatsi )This was revealed yesterday by Pastor Augustine Butera, the chairperson of the forum.

"This is a kind of programme we pledge each year to reach out to the community. Previously we also donated 60 goats to poor families as a way of contributing to government programs,” Butera said after a crusade hosted by an American evangelist Dana Morey in Kayonza playground.

The crusade which kicked off on Tuesday is aimed at preaching the gospel and celebrating the completion of the 20 houses.

Butera added that the houses were supported by the visiting American evangelist and his Alight to the Nations organization (ALN).

Morey, who is also a businessman in Chicago, said that he met the Governor of the Eastern Province, Ephraim Kabaija, to discuss investment opportunities.

He added that he will lure American businessmen into Rwanda for possible investments adding that he will start with James Langkamp, another businessman in Chicago, whom he identified as his friend.

He said Langkamp is interested in establishing a trade and work ethics school.

"I am now focused on bringing the gospel of healing, deliverance and salvation but I know of some people who can bring business. What I will do is to tell them that there are opportunities for investments to be explored here in Rwanda and they will come, discuss with Mayors and Governors for business possibilities,” Morey said.
