JEAN Baptist Hakizimana failed in his quest to finish inside the top ten as the four-day KCB East African Golf Tour-Kampala leg wrapped up yesterday at Kitante’s Par-72 golf course.

Despite a well worked one-under-par in the fourth round, the Rwandan golfer finished 11th, one stroke off 10th spot and a further nine off the pace.

Hakizimana, who went on to pocket Rfw200, 000 for his effort had carded 73, 72 and 73 in the opening three rounds.

Kenya’s Indiza won the leg after carding 69 yesterday to finish off with a total 280. Despite a thrilling round of six-under-par on the final day, Uganda’s Deo Akope could only secure second spot (281) while Simon Ngige rounded off the top three with 282.
