GATSIBO — District has provided internet modems to all the 14 Sector executive secretaries to facilitate internet access.

The MTN and TELECOM facilities were handed over to excited recipients last week by the mayor John Murego, at the end of year party celebrations at the district headquarters in Kabarore.

The facilities were connected with two-month subscription for initial start. Innocent Kanamugire, one of the beneficiaries of Gitoke Sector, said the donation would positively impact on their work.

"Its good that we are now connected to the internet, we are going to have quicker service delivery and better access to information in this ICT era,” Kanamugire said.

During the same occasion, district authorities awarded cash prizes to the best two performing executive secretaries as motivation.

Richard Murego of Ngarama Sector received the first prize of Frw100, 000 while Vicent Murenzi of Kiramuruzi sector, emerged second scooping Frw80, 000.
