Teenage midfielder Haruna Niyonzima has been tipped to pass the test when he finally goes for professional trials in Europe sometime this year.

The thumbs-up to the 19-year-old midfield ace were given by none other than his team manager at APR.

Capt. Eric Ntazinda told Times Sport over the weekend that he was confident that youngster would pass the trials once his time to go professional comes.

"Haruna is a quality player whose skills are gained from the coaching tactics passed on by our experienced coaches.

"I am confident enough that he will make it to a good club once the trials are over. Just like any other player in our club, they all have higher chances of passing European tests once they get that opportunity," Ntazinda said.

Ntazinda further added the standardized coaching skills exhibited at the military side gives every player a chance to make it to play for good European club in future. Niyonzima is set to undergo professional trials mid this year in Spain after his skills caught the attention of Norway-based scout Azzedine Saoud during last year’s Cecafa senior challenge cup in Tanzania. Azzedine is the Marketing manager of the Gran Canaria Football Center which does scouting African players for various European clubs.

Haruna and Uganda Cranes star Caesar Okuti were among the few selected players from East African region last year.

But the Gran Canaria Football Center scout has until April this year to finalise on his mission.
