City Radio in conjunction with SMS media, MTN, Nakumatt and Advances Communications have awarded 29 people with Nakumatt vouchers worth Rwf 10,000 each.
Among those, two won flat screen televisions while other two won Star Media decoders in the draws that where announced on July 3 under the "World Cup 2010 Game – "The Predictor and Win game.”
"Being the first time it (the World Cup) has been held on the African soil, we thought it would be nice to bring it much closer to the people,” Kelvin Katuramu, the Director of City Radio said.
The predict and win programme on City Radio started on June 11, and will end on July 11.
Katuramu said that the whole process cost close to Rwf 6m.
Jean Paul Nvuyekure from the Northern Province was among the winners.
"I’m so excited about this initiative to involve even the poor, who can’t afford a television set to have the World Cup experience,” said mvuyekure.
