Dominic Ashimwe has postponed his album launch concert due to the ongoing FIFA 2010 World Cup.
The album titled ‘Ari kumwe natwe’ was first launched in March at Hotel Des Mille Collines and its second launch was slated for June 26, in Huye district. It has been rescheduled for July 9, at National University of Rwanda (NUR).
In an interview, Ashimwe said that the delay has given him enough time to prepare and give his fans an excellent and well organised concert.
"Most of NUR students are football fans and there is no way they would have turned up for my concert, instead of watching the games” Ashimwe said.
A list of local gospel artists, including Alex Dusabe, Patrick Nyamitali, Julius Kalimba and Simon Kabera will perform at the concert.
